Ocean City, NJ – Trusted Ocean City resident and businessman Dean Adams may be a relatively new fan of "The Beautiful Game", but the Nor’easters new Vice President of Promotion and Development is thrilled to join the front office of one of the most successful PDL teams in history.
Adams and Club President Giancarlo Granese outlined the VP of P&D role in recent interviews and highlighted their excitement for what this new position will contribute to the Ocean City community.
No stranger to quality organizations, Dean, a member of the Ocean City Planning Board, explained the keys to the position in three prongs, “First and foremost is the financial health of the team. To maintain a great organization takes talented and well-deserving management and staff. That requires financial stability through fundraising, sponsorship acquisition, and sound financial planning.”
Second, the Ocean City Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors member talked about how crucial it is to utilize demographic data to inform promotional decisions. “Promotions and marketing of the team are equally important. I think it is key to identify our current fan-based-demographic and build upon it to attract more fans to the sport in general, and our organization in particular.”
Lastly, Dean explained how he will be able to provide a different perspective on a soccer franchise to expand its community. “I think that my unique position of a relatively ‘new fan’ to the sport will open up awareness and promotion to a broader spectrum of people. I plan to work with our contact base and all forms of media marketing to that end.”

El Presidente reiterated Adams’ unique role. “The role VP of P & D in our organization will cover all aspects related to making everyone aware of our presence in the community and surrounding areas. We expect Dean to involve the local businessman and professionals into our activities, (camps, training sessions, games, etc.), which will help spread the awareness of the game and of our positive impact on the community.”
Mr. Adams certainly has President Granese’s seal of approval. Granese explained how Adams’ respect within the Ocean City community will translate to tangible improvements to the top-class PDL franchise. “Dean is not only the right man for the job, he is the perfect match for it! He is well-known by everyone, works and socializes in town, and has the great capability of involving people into activities of all sorts. His presence is always felt by all and his cheerful ways make people want to follow his lead.”
Adams, as a local business owner and proud community member, explained why he believes The Nor’easters, “are a great asset to our City, our community and our economy.”
“The Club is one more element that elevates Ocean City to the cutting edge of popular culture and sport. I believe the team is yet another great attraction…for our City. I am proud to have been selected by the team to do what I can to promote the Nor’easters base of fans and sponsors for the good of the team, and the community of Ocean City.”
