The 2023 home opener will be on Friday, May 26 when the Nor'easters host Philadelphia Lone Star FC at Carey Stadium.

The Nor'easters' home opener, and all home games, will take place at Carey Stadium, also known as "The Beach House", in "America's Greatest Family Resort" in Ocean City, N.J. All home games will kick off at 7 p.m.

Since 2003, the Nor'easters have the fourth-best home record (91-28-28) of any team in USL League Two. Last season, the Nor'easters made history by surpassing 100 wins at The Beach House, an achievement that no other club has met at a single home venue.

The Nor'easters will be led by Matt Perrella who was promoted to head coach. Last year, he was an assistant under Kevin Nuss and helped guide Ocean City to a historic undefeated regular season. Nuss will transition to Sporting Director.

The Mid-Atlantic Division will play a 14-game regular season schedule again this year with the same lineup of teams from the 2022 season. The other five teams include West Chester United, Lehigh Valley United, Philadelphia Lone Star FC, Real Central New Jersey, as well as long-time rival, Reading United AC.

Before the regular season starts, the Nor'easters will also take part in the 2023 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup, which begins on March 21. Modeled after England's FA Cup, the Open Cup is open to all teams from Major League Soccer to Sunday beer league amateur teams. Ocean City will take on West Chester United on the road in the opening round and the winner of that game will advance to Round 2 where they will play on the road against professional side Maryland Bobcats of the National Independent Soccer Association (Div. 3 pro). The 2023 tournament will mark the Nor'easters ' 11th appearance in the 108-year-old single-elimination national championship tournament. Only two amateur teams in the country (Des Moines Menace, Flint City Bucks) have more upsets of professional teams than Ocean City. The Nor'easters have eliminated six pro teams, while the Bucks and Menace have knocked off 10 and seven respectively.

Since there are only five opponents in the division this year, the Nor'easters will play three games against every team except for Reading United who they will face twice (one home, one away). Ocean City will host Philadelphia and Lehigh Valley twice, and will play two road games against RCNJ and West Chester United (not including the Open Cup game).

The 2022 season was another historic one for the Nor'easters. The Storm enjoyed one of the best seasons in club history, finishing undefeated in the regular season (11-0-3), winning the division and breaking a few records along the way. Ocean City broke the club record for lowest goals against average (0.64) and fewest goals allowed (9). It was the first undefeated regular season for the club since 2004 and would earn a second straight trip to the USL-2 playoffs. (Check out the 2022 Season Review).
