The Ocean City Nor'easters' Spring Recreation Program is back for 2017. This year's edition, which open to all players up to 8th grade will kick off on Saturday, April 22 and run through June 17.
The outdoor recreation program will provide kids with a fun, age-appropriate introduction to the game of soccer from top-level coaches from the Nor'easters organization.
The program will be hosted at Richard Grimes Field at 6th Street and Bay Avenue in Ocean City, New Jersey.
"The Nor'easters are excited to offer this eight week program to residents of Ocean City and it's surrounding communities," said Nor'easters general manager Giancarlo Granese Jr. "The program will be unique in the fact that there will be a number of player appearances throughout the duration of the program which will continue to strengthen the connection between a local youth soccer players and the collegiate athletes that are striving to play at the top level, while representing the city of Ocean City during the summer."
The camp sessions will take place every Saturday, with the exception of Memorial Day weekend.
Each session will be one hour and focus on developing basic soccer skills and technical ability through fun activities, drills, and scrimmages.
"It is our aim to provide a fun learning environment while developing each participant of the program regardless of age or experience of the sport of soccer," said Granese Jr.
Registration is open for the outdoor program at a cost of $60 per child for those using the online registration, and $65 for registrations received through the mail. The camp is open to kids as early as pre-Kindergarten, up through 8th grade. All registered players will receive a t-shirt and a complimentary ticket to a future Nor'easters game at Carey Stadium.
