With the win, the Nor’easters snapped a string of three straight draws and extended their club record regular season unbeaten streak to 27 games (19-0-8) dating back to 2021. The team’s last loss came on July 9, 2021 against West Chester United. That WCU game was also the last time the Storm lost a home game. Their home unbeaten streak at The Beach House is now at 12 games, which is the second-longest streak in club history.

Offensively, Sander Roed leads the team with seven goals, followed by Ryan Becher (UCLA / Hummelstown, PA) and Nick Pariano with three each. Alessandro Arlotti leads the team with seven assists.

Stefano Camerlengo (Missouri-KC / Pescara, Italy) has started all but one of the matches in goal for Ocean City. He is 6-0-5 with three shutouts and a 0.73 goals against average.

Lehigh Valley comes into the game still seeking their first win of the campaign (0-9-2). In their last game on July 1, they lost at West Chester United 3-1. Wilson Bibiano scored an early goal to put LVL in front, but WCU answered with three straight goals to pick up the win.

Sunday night marks the third and final meeting of the season between Ocean City and Lehigh Valley. That day, Sander Roed scored a pair of goals and teenager Andrew Kitch (North Carolina / Medford, NJ) scored his first goal in an Ocean City uniform. With that win, Ocean City improved its all-time record against LVU to 15-2-0. The only two losses have come on the road. The Nor’easters are 8-0-0 all-time against Lehigh Valley at the Beach House. The Storm have won the last seven meetings, including a two-game season sweep last year. Current Nashville SC (MLS) goalkeeper Ben Martino picked up the win in goal for the Storm. Three days later, Ocean City traveled to Bethlehem, Pa. where they won 3-1 on goals from Alessandro Arlotti, Daniel Diaz-Bonilla (Syracuse / Vienna, VA) and Galen Flynn.
