Ocean City, NJ – Mitch Grotti and Zoncher Dennis were named to the Honorable Mention national Team of the Week on Thursday for their outstanding efforts against NJ-LUSO, FA Euro, and archrival Reading United.

This is the first Honorable Mention award for Mitch Grotti who hails from Milmay, New Jersey and played collegiately at Rutgers-Camden. Grotti set several records during his illustrious collegiate career and is the all-time Rutgers-Camden leader in both goals and game-winning goals.

Grotti’s knack for scoring game-winners shone through against Ocean City’s most recent matches against NJ-LUSO and FA Euro. Grotti was the difference-maker in those games, scoring in the second half of the Nor’easters 2-0 victory over the Parma, and tallying the game-winning, 79th minute goal against FA Euro.

Zoncher Dennis, a third-year club veteran, earned his second Honorable Mention award of the 2014 season on Thursday for his second half, game-tying wonderstrike against Reading United that cemented Ocean City’s draw last Friday evening.

Zoncher calls Swathmore, PA home, and is a graduate of Mount Saint Mary’s University.
